A Special Note About The Gal Behind The Camera

Heather loves to capture talents and personalities of soon-to-be graduates. She was a high school teacher for 10 years and can really connect with teens. If you are a musician, bring your instrument to the photo shoot. If you are a ballerina, don't leave home without your pointe shoes and tutu. If you ride motocross, Heather will meet you at a location where she can capture you doing what you love. Bring a bag full of clothing options and accessories (hats, sunglasses, I-Pods, hoodies, etc.) Girls can even bring a prom dress if desired. Heather's adventurous spirit shows through in her art and in her willingness to go the extra mile for the perfect shot.

News Flash! New Blog!

Among my many deliberate attempts to stay in touch with my "teacher side", I spend as much

time as I can planning ways to reach out to the age group I best connect with...teens. The teenage years are such an exciting time - a little scary, but exciting. Still a kid, but wanting to be a grown- up....although not quite ready to grow up. Still needing a little help to get by, but pushing the point of independence. After leaving the education field to pursue my passion for photography, I knew I wanted to find students who would help me grow my senior portrait business. So this is a special shout out to my "kids" who have posed and marketed for me. You guys are the

Your Time To Shine: THE SESSION

Fee: $100
More than 30 miles or more than one location - add $25

Your session fee includes Heather's time and talent to capture 15 - 30 finished (edited) images, and a secure online proofing site. The session fee is due on the day of your session, and can be paid in person or online. To pay online, just shoot Heather an email @ hosilka@bellsouth.net and she'll send you a link to pay by credit card, debit card, or Paypal.

All sessions are done on location, either outdoors or at your home. Expect your session to last between 1 and 3 hours. Heather is very flexible and places no time limit on fun. Expect a longer session if you are planning on multiple clothing changes. Heather has a stress-free approach to photo shoots. Your session should be relaxed, without feeling rushed. Heather's main goal is to capture YOU being YOU.

Fashion Sense

Clothing is a very important part of creating unique and beautiful portraits. The best looking photos are ones displaying bold colors, textures, and patterns. Think about denim and colorful tops. Layering is a great idea. Funky sweaters, hats, tights, leg warmers, boots, or flip flops are excellent accessories. Bare feet are always welcome! If you are going for a more traditional look, simple is key (ex. white sundress on the beach). Multiple looks are encouraged for seniors. Most of all, have fun with your look and BE YOURSELF!

Free Time

Wanna have some safe, out-of-the-ordinary fun this weekend! Why not go Sonic-hopping? Map out 3 Sonic restaurants in your area. Pile a few BFFs in the car and BUCKLE UP! Head to the first site for appetizers, the second for a main course (corn dog and tots, of course), and the third for dessert. Don't forget to order a yummy flavored soda (cherry-vanilla coke...my fave)!

Tell a few other friends and their BFFs to meet you there. To make the night a little more interesting, make up a scavenger hunt ahead of time for each group, or have each group guess which Sonic you'll be at for which part of the meal by giving them clues ahead of time. Remember, NO SPEEDING ALLOWED!!! Have fun and stay cool!
